Rates
$150 50 minute session, $150 initial intake
The first therapy session is always an initial intake. I am accepting the following insurance providers in Michigan: BCBS, United Healthcare, Aetna, Oscar Health and Oxford. I am accepting the following providers in Colorado, New Mexico and South Dakota: BCBS of Massachusetts, United/Optum and Aetna.
Self Pay therapy is beneficial because your insurance does not have your diagnosis and access to your mental health information.
A Good Faith Estimate can be discussed at any point with your therapist and fees are clearly stated. The estimate provides you with a description of services, diagnosis, service codes and charges for therapeutic services. We will also provide you with your therapist’s name, NPI number and tax ID. The Good Faith Estimate is for your benefit so there are no surprise fees associated with your therapy. You have the right to dispute if the costs go significantly beyond the Good Faith Estimate. There is never an obligation to obtain any therapeutic services.
Insurance
Depending on your current health insurance provider or employee benefit plan, it is possible for services to be covered in full or in part. Please contact your provider to verify how your plan compensates you for psychotherapy services.
I’d recommend asking these questions to your insurance provider to help determine your benefits:
- Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits?
- Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?
- Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?
- Do I need written approval from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered?
Payment
I accept all major credit cards as forms of payment.
Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel at least 24 hours beforehand. Otherwise, you may be charged for the full rate of the session.
